ENHANCING CX AT
ABRONS ARTS CENTER
CASE STUDY
How can we make it easier for customers to navigate the complex building of Abrons Arts Center at Henry Street Settlement?
THE MOMENT
Spring 2019: As lead creative at Abrons Arts Center, I identified a critical navigation challenge for visitors. The center's complex layout—spanning three floors across two connected buildings from different eras (1800s and 1960s)—was creating a confusing experience for patrons.
I developed and implemented a comprehensive wayfinding solution that included:
Multilingual maps featuring indigenous land acknowledgments
Strategic directional signage throughout both buildings
Enhanced entrance visibility through new exterior signage
Revitalized lobby displays with motion graphics promoting current and upcoming programming
I personally installed the vinyl elements to ensure proper execution and optimize budget allocation.
This section also showcases additional wayfinding systems and printed materials created for this multidisciplinary arts center in New York City's Lower East Side.
